Kent and I started talking about the process of selling our house, discussing what we had to do to make it marketable and which real estate agent we were going to choose. We interviewed another agent that day, before Belle and we were feeling quite down in the dumps after speaking with her as she did not have anything positive to say about our house and the area we lived in. For the time that she spent with us, we heard more about her and her accomplishments. Then Belle came into our home and it was the start of something great. We did the tour of the house and Belle kept complimenting us on various aspects of our home. Belle was positive, upbeat, gave us constructive criticism, walked us through the process of all details and most of all we felt we had known Belle all our lives. The house was listed in her name, however she represented us too. We found that she did a very good job in balancing the needs of buyer and seller. Selling or buying a home is not just a transaction. It is much more than that. First, it is a very emotional and stressful time. In fact doctors advise us that this is one of the highest stress times in our lives. You are also changing a way of life that you have known for years. Because selling is not done often, it is hard to keep up with the new rules and regulations that ocur over the years. Last but not least, there is the financial considerations that all parties have to be comfortable with.
